I attended Catholic School for grades K-12 and then went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and English, and
a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education, from Western Washington University. While attending Western, I met my husband,
Mike, and we were married in 2001. Mike and I currently live in Tacoma with our two beautiful little girls, Mikayla and
Marissa. Before teaching at Holy Family, I taught 3rd Grade for three years at Assumption Catholic School in Bellingham and
then worked as the Director of Education for the Lynnwood Sylvan Learning Center for five years. I am a member of the
International Reading Association, the Washington Reading Association, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum
Development, and the Kappa Delta Pi Education Honor Society. I am a lifelong learner and have a passion for Catholic
education!
